→ Baraza*1: Renewed Contextual Rethinking ‘Modernity’ and ‘Progress’: a Courtyard, a Brise- soleil, and a Veranda

Elements of our built environment that have developed over centuries are transformed or forgotten in the pursuit of modernity. These changes have proved to be more or less successful depending on how contextual the solutions were. They also afford us a way to re narrate a story that uncovers the relationships, contradictions, and connections between modernity and progress. Through a series of selected design elements this panel will explore what we consider as progress.
